The Parker Report - October 30, 2015 - 14th Installment - Happy Halloween!

This is "The Parker Report" for October 30, 2015

Happy Halloween!

This was Parker's first official photo shoot, taken of him in costume with orange and black striped cape during the monthly adoption event at the Brentwood Petco.
He got to be the first "victim" to get his picture taken before all the rest of the bunnies.

The funniest part was when they were trying to get a picture of a bunch of fluffy baby bunnies in one group.
The three white ones sat huddled together (probably scared stiff!) while the four black ones jumped around in every direction while the photographer kept re-grouping them back in line.

Parker also had another blind date, courtesy of DeAnna again.  This time it was "an older woman"; a 5-year-old lionhead named Princess.
They were both polite to each other.  Thank goodness because I didn't feel like breaking up a fight!  Parker was a gentleman and just checked her out.  She hopped into his litter box a couple of times and explored the pen before they both just layed down a few inches from each other.  For awhile, Parker laid down behind me, like a shy little kid hiding behind his mother.  He may have been put off a bit by Princess' eye, which was kind of crusty from a blocked tear duct.  Oh well, we weren't looking to bring home another rabbit at this time anyway.

The full moon this week had parker all hyped up again and he was getting into things at night.  Brad went downstairs a couple of nights ago to get a glass of water before going to bed and caught Parker sitting on the sofa, licking the arm.
As soon as he realized that he was caught in the act (and he knows he's not supposed to be up there), he proceeded to hop onto the end table, then he ran across the love seat, hopped off and ran across the room.  Brad had a talk with him (for some reason he listens to Brad) and he told him he had to sleep upstairs.  Parker followed him upstairs and stayed there the rest of the night, but then in the morning he decided to play "Hop on Pop" and hopped onto Brad while we were still in bed.  AT 5:30 AM!!!  I'm hoping we can get his clock adjusted for next week when we turn back the clocks because I don't feel like waking up at 4:30 am.

Another night he hopped up onto the A/V cabinet below the TV, which is a little higher than our 18" tall fireplace hearth.  We didn't think he would hop up there (silly us!) so we put our box of Warner Brothers Bugs Bunny coasters on top.  Parker thought it would be fun to knock them down and chew on the box.   Soooooo....now we put them away where he can't get them.

He's also been caught up on our bed by himself a few times during the day in the past couple of weeks, so we have to remember to close the door when we're not in there.

Parker loves to get treats (his early morning pettings from Brad and getting to forage in the grass basket), but he's also quite the trickster.

May all of you get more treats than tricks this year on Halloween!
